Will there be other dogs in the field?
The field is for your exclusive use, so when you book a time slot it will only be you in the field but feel free to ask along your friends and their dogs to share it.
How far in advance or how late can I make a booking?
We are open for bookings several months in advance and the park can be booked as late as half an hour before use, providing it is available for hire.
How do I book and pay?
Bookings can only be made online and you can pay by debit or credit card. You will be sent a confirmation email and it will contain the PIN code to access the facility.
How do I open the lock?
Please line up the PIN code with the dashes on the lock. The numbers need to face straight out from the lock (not upwards) and be entered from left to right.
I am unable to open the lock with the PIN code provided?

Can a group of us come together on one booking?
We would love you to bring your friends as long as the booking covers all of the dogs in the party.
Is there a maximum number of dogs I can bring?
The booking covers up to 4 dogs, but you can book additional dogs up to 8 in total. All we ask that you have sufficient supervision for the number of dogs you bring.

Do I have the field to myself?
One booking per field so you have sole use for the time you have requested. Your friends and their dogs are welcome to join you if you wish.
How far in advance or how late can I make a booking?
Bookings can be made up to 31 days in advance and as late as 15 minutes before use, providing it is available for hire.
What is the payment process?
Bookings can only be made online using your debit or credit card. An email will be sent confirming your booking details and the PIN code you will need to access the facility.
Is there a code to unlock the main gate?
There is a padlock and chain on the main gate. Please line up the PIN code top to bottom. Once inside please close the gate and re-padlock returning the PIN to 0000
Is there any help if I am unable to open the lock with the PIN code provided?
Please contact us immediately via email or messenger for assistance. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Is there a limit on how many of us can come together on one booking?
There is no limit as such but bear in mind standard booking is for 6 dogs and there is only parking for 2 cars per booking. However, there is extra parking on the entrance road should you need it.
How many dogs I can bring?
The standard booking is for 6 dogs. If you wish to bring more then please contact us direct to arrange this by email at Muriestoncastledogpark@gmail.com. Make sure you have sufficient supervision for the number of dogs you bring.
What are the opening hours?
Monday to Sunday 8am until 4pm. This has changed from our usual opening hours due to a lack of daylight during the winter months.
Can I amend my booking?
Bookings are non-transferrable but in exceptional circumstances, we will try our best to help you change your booking if you contact us by email at Muriestoncastledogpark@gmail.com
Is there a policy on dog poo?
Please pick up your dog’s poo and use one of the many bins around the fields. In such a large area it is possible to miss your dog’s poo, so if you see a poo then please pick it up. If everyone does the same then it will keep the fields clean for everyone to enjoy.
How big are the fields?
Both fields are approximately 3.5 acres each.
Is there somewhere I can park?
Parking is available outside the main gate for maximum of 2 cars per booking. Park in the space indicated for the field you have booked. If you have 2 cars please park behind each other and show consideration to others when parking.
Do you have toilet facilities?
There are no toilet facilities in the fields.
Is there any shelter in the field for bad weather?
We have shelters available in both fields. A great place to sit and take cover when dealing with the unpredictable Scottish weather.
Are there any livestock nearby?
Livestock may be visible in the surrounding fields but never in any of the adjacent fields. Occasionally there will be horses using the farm road so please try and keep dog(s) away from the road fence at these times.
What size and general makeup are the fields fences?
The fields fences are approximately 6 foot tall around the outer perimeter of both fields. The bottom of the fences go to ground level and are totally secure, to ensure even the smallest dogs can't escape. Therefore, it is suitable for dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Can I book a 1 hour slot?
You can indeed have the field for an hour. All you have to do is book two half an hour slots for the same field back to back. So for example, if you wanted to have the field from 5pm until 6pm, you would just need to book 5pm until 5:30pm and 5:30pm until 6pm.
